Yesterday was very hot! It was in the 90's the boys and I can only sit in the house for so long be for we have to get outside to burn of some energy. I found our little inflatable pool and I blew it up, filled it with water and let my munchkins jump in and out of it and crawl in and out. They both had a blast! Poor Buddy and Molly wanted to cool off too so I just gave them a bit of a spray down.

Above are my new washer and dryer:)
Below is the new playground...it is a great playground!
The last couple of days have been busy! Billy had to go back to work on Monday, that was a slap right in the face and just what I needed to put myself back into reality of my new life. The boys and decided to drive around and go exploring...
We found the state college, all 3 grocery stores, and while driving down 'million dollar way' I saw some very cute shop windows that I will be checking out in the very near future. We drove by a couple of parks that looked very nice. I found the recreational center that has the indoor hockey rink...what else did I see that interested me....I tried to get a closer look at some of the ranches that I can see dotting the country side from my windows but I started to get a little lost and turned around so I decided that they were great to look at:)
Today the boys went to the babysitters for the first time. I feel a little nervous but I am chalking that up to not knowing her or anyone else. While the boys were there I drove around the main drag and stopped a few shops. They are all very unique, one is an awesome art gallery and custom framing shop. They had many different items and I will be going back again. There is a Hallmark which of course has all things Hallmark. Then I ventured to the JcPenney's...OH MY GOSH!!! The building is 50 years old (give or take a year or two)! You have to go downstairs for the kids clothes...it is just old and very different! After my adventures I went and got the boys and we went to the brandnew park that the community built. The pieces of the playground represent what made the community. It is a great park and it is very nice, in a great area right next to the Rec. center and the library. Since we were so close to the library we ventured in and got library cards and checked out some books. I really like our new town. However, I need to have some self-control or I will be ordering delivery every night! It is a great thing that DQ doesn't deliver and that they are on the other side of town:) Here are a few pics of our adventure today and of our house...

We finally made it Williston! It has taken me a few days to blog because I have been unpacking. First thing first...we left our home at 3:45 am on the 17th. Colton wouldn't go back to bed so he watched a movie until we got to about Chippewa and then he fell asleep again. Our first obstacle came when we got to the cities and a new whistling sound started coming from the engine. We stopped outside of the cities to check it out and it looked like a small crack in the hose from the turbo to the radiator, Medford Motors said that it shouldn't cause a problem. We get a few more miles down the road and all of a sudden there is BOOM! and the hood jumps and we have black smoke coming from the tail pipe. We thought that the engine blew up, but the hose blew off the engine and we had to stop and buy a hose clamp so we could get rolling again.
We had hoped that we would be able to get ahead of the rain that was on the way, and we probably would have if we had not had hose issues...anyways...it started to sprinkle and then it started to rain, and then it was a downpour! Oh my gosh! My mind was just racing, my poor dogs, my stuff in the back of the truck...AHHH! We had to stop, buy a tarp to put over the dogs and our things. We started on our merry way again and Billy and I started looking at the clouds and we could see that they were strarting to point down to the ground, but were not swirling. We hauled butt to get out of Minnesota.
North Dakota is a boring state to drive through. There is nothing there! When we got closer to Williston we ran into some road work and had to take a detour that led us through the Killdeer Mountains. Beautiful, breathtaking!! Oh my gosh my pictures don't even do it justice!
The road was so windy and steep that I was crazy worried the whole time, but the view was awesome! It is time to sleep, we have been so busy and Brodon isn't feeling well so I need to sleep when I can...more to come tomorrow:)

I am blogging for the first time with my new laptop!!! It is amazing, I can go anywhere and it will be so nice and conveniant once we move to Williston.
Billy made it home today after leaving at 4:30 AM. No matter what, that drive is long and it sucks to drive it alone (so he's told me). Mel and Kev dropped the trailer off the other night and Colton of course has loaded it with the important things...his bikes, toys, etc.
You have to love how his little mind works. Lots to do and so little time to do it all in....But somehow it will all get done!

Drama...
We move in exactly 5 days!! It is very exciting and nerve racking all at the same time! I am getting so nervous!
The utility company was to hook up our power on the 10th, but of course things just didn't work out. I called and set the appointment up about 8 days prior to the 10th and that was the earliest they could get there. Billy has been living in our home for a week and a half with no lights, electricity, power, etc. He went and bought light bulbs for all of our light fixtures in preparations and expectation of power. But, that would be too easy...he got home from work on the 10th and turned on the light switch and there was no light. To say the least he was MAD. He made some phone calls and they then told him that they couldn't hook up our meter because there wasn't a city inspection tag on the meter. WHAT!? I asked multiple times if we needed anything other than the electricians certificate, gas guy to prime the lines and the home inspector and the woman who set up our appointment said no, that is all you need. Then they told him this! GRRR...anyways he of course called and was furious, the utility company hung up on him. I called on the 11th and appealed to their better nature explaining that I had a baby and a 3 year old and that during my conversations that had never been mentioned.
They called me back on now our inspection/hook up is hopefully going to be done on Monday. I guess we'll see....

We move in 11 days! Wow!! It is coming so fast! Billy has been sleeping in our house, even though he can't turn the water on, lights on, etc. My poor man sits and sleeps in the dark. Not much new is going on with the house we have to wait for the utility company to come out and inspect it so they can hook things up and get us rolling. That doesn't happen until the 10th.
The boys and I are busy packing up anything that we are not going to use or don't need to use. But poor Brodon has a summer cold and is cutting teeth. He is pretty miserable. So the packing is going pretty slow today.

Oh Boy....
So much has happened since my last post...
We got to spend a great 7 days with Billy last week. He got home on Monday night. He had to stay in Williston to get the building permit, set up the electrician, gas, etc. He got home and was completely exhausted...don't feel too sorry for him though...staying at the bar until 1 AM and then going for breakfast afterwards will do that to you if you do it more than 2 times a week;)
Anyways...Our house was suppose to be set and ready for us to live in on Thursday. That did not happen. There were severe thunderstorms and some wild wind so our house did not get set unitl Sunday. Billy left on Monday, so he could go back to work. Yesterday I called the gas guys to set up an inspections, so he can actually live in the house. We thought that they could get the inspection done within a day or two of calling. That is SO not the case. They can't come out until 10th of June.
Tonight I get home and have a message from the electrician saying that he couldn't get into the house because it was locked...then Billy calls and says that one of the guys at work said that the house looked terrible! It was crooked in the lot...so Billy is going to look right now...keep your fingers crossed for us!
